As challenging as it was for the owners to convert this ancient monastery in Rotterdam into an events centre which contained a bar, café, restaurant and several other entertainment spaces, our own challenge in creating a new corporate identity for Brederode was to ensure we captured the true essence of the knight’s own history and that of the monastery. The knight on the logo is duplicated to represent the multi-faceted party environment of the venue, and the vibrant colours reflect the ‘knightlife’ it encapsulates.
